Stephen Moore of Paul Kohner Agency negotiated the deal on behalf of Marie Lamba and the Jennifer DeChiara Literary Agency.<\/p>\n<p>The project was brought to Bardel by <strong>Writer\/Producer Arne Olsen<\/strong>.<br \/>\u201cWe are always looking for inspiring stories, and as soon as we came across The Bailey School Kids we realized this is a compelling concept that can\u2019t wait to be filmed&#8221;, commented Iginio Straffi.<br \/>\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled about the opportunity to expand The Bailey School Kids\u2019s universe into a <strong>live-action series<\/strong> for future generations,\u201d said Rick Mischel. \u201cWith themes of <strong>friendship<\/strong>, <strong>fantasy<\/strong>, <strong>humor<\/strong>, and a few scares in the face of navigating pre-teen years, it\u2019s no surprise that Debbie and Marcia\u2019s books are among Scholastic\u2019s best-selling series of all time. We look forward to kids watching these stories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>book series<\/strong> reaches back <strong>25 years<\/strong> and over<strong> 30 million copies<\/strong> sold with<strong> 51 titles<\/strong>. \u201cDespite all the inquiries I received for this incredibly valuable IP, there was no question that Bardel, Rainbow and Rick were the perfect fit.
