The Nest

The Nest

Samuel (Justin Korovkin) is a young boy confined to a wheelchair who lives with his mother Elena (Francesca Cavallin) in “Villa dei Laghi” an isolated residence surrounded by woods. Stuck in the family routine and strictly forbidden to leave the residence, Samuel grows up seemingly protected but unfulfilled and restless. However, life at the Villa is increasingly disrupted by strange and disturbing events; until the arrival of the teenage Denise (Ginevra Francesconi) will definitively break the family balance, giving Samuel the energy to oppose the restrictions imposed by his mother and to seek the truth about the world around him. But Elena won’t let her son go so easily and will do anything to keep him with her. Why is Elena forcing Samuel to live as a prisoner in his own home, forbidding him to leave the estate? What mystery does she hide?
